Cyrillic fonts are not supported, which makes the app absolutely useless for me.

Pls add few working templates (presentations, articles, PhD etc.)

on ipad os. 4.3.2 Tex Writer doesnt work at al!!! It cannot compile neither the readme file attached to the application!!!

Hi. Nice app!! Definitely best app for writing/ compiling latex in iOs and syncing with dropbox. Small bug in editor, though -> a weird blue box appears when I try the following: Im unable to write portuguese signs like ç ã à ô õ (which are respectively typed with an apple wireless keyboard - english international) using comands: left option + c left option + n, then a left option + `, then a left option + i, then o left option + n, then o, ... etc. Id appreciate if you could fix that. Ill update the rating if there will be an update. Regards !

Very good would be perfect with a good pdf viewer

This app is very good. But there is a big lack. It is impossible to export codes!!! Just the pdf. Please provide for this. Besides it would be great if there would be keys or commands to directly insert brakets or other mathematical symbols, instead of writing the relative codes every time.

This is a very good app and Im happy I can use latex on my iPad. The only issue for me is the way you select text. I find it too complicated.

Really nice for my iPad, fantastic, is what I searched for my needs.. I use LaTeX not only for math, of course, so for me is the top.

Its a really useful app. It makes you work real comfortable with latex on an Ipad. Very good editor. Efficient enginecompiler and great ease in downloading sty files. Congratulations!

The upgrade has been again a real improvement, but something still lacks. The sincronization with dropbox is better but still dangerous if you have two devices connected. Also, the internet connection is still cause of crash, when the app is used with others (but probably its due to iOs). Again, it would be good some more color for grammar, and the possibility to open also .bib files in another app (dropbox!). In any case, its the best TeX app for iOs.

Works great, means you dont have to carry a computer around with you, you can tex whatever you need on an ipad. I wrote a research paper with this app.

I have been using this app since it was first available. I was impressed by it at the beginning and I continue to appreciate its improvements with each update. For a long time I resisted kearning TeX, preferring MS Word or Pages with MathType for the equations. But I have actually learned TeX using this app, and it is one of my top two tools on my iPad. It has been quite a while since I wrote this review, so I thought I would update it. I use it regularly. It has been an excellent tool with which to learn TeX, and I still consider it to be one of the two top apps that I use on my current iPad pro. Combining this app with my Apple smart keyboard resulted in an excellent technical writing tool.

I came in with low expectations for how usable this would be and whether it would have latex packages that I need. It has turned out to be very helpful. I give talk presentations from PDF slides generated in latex (I know, I know, but I need the equations). This app has really saved me when I needed to work on my talk on an airplane on the way to a meeting, and there was no way I could use my laptop in my coach seat.

I have had nothing but good experiences with this version of Tex Writer. This has been my introduction to Latex, and having a portable version as easy to use has helped the learning curve.

I really love TexWriter on the iPad, especially with my LogiTech Bluetooth keyboard. My book has 21 files (chapters), over 125 pages, and a bunch of .png images, stored in a separate folder from the .tex files. Im also using a bunch of style files and am blown away by how easily TexWriter just gobbles them all up and produces the beautiful text that Ive grown to love with LaTeX. And, btw, TexWriter typesets my book very fast on my iPhone Plus! I love the app.

It can open up templates in zip files and edit those template. so easy to use.
