Works as advertised. Compiles the text files directly on the ipad and I have had no problems when loading modules yet. Recommend it strongly

Pros: it works. Cons: this app has extremely limited features and I found it way over priced.

I tried this software by composing one of my technical report, which contains equations and figures. I am very satisfied with the software, especially the DropBox sync. and PDF preview functions. I wish the software can be further improved in figure including function: for now, the figures that users want to insert their documents are saved in photo app. I hope Tex Writer can allow users to save their figures independently in a sub-folder of the folder where the .tex files are saved. Anyway, this is a very good product to me.

Needs more background colors to distinguish the math functions. However, not bad at all.

I really like this LaTeX app. It has a nice clean interface and it is very simple to organize and compile files. It would be nice to be able to rename folders. What it would be REALLY NICE is to have Google Drive support for file syncing. Keep up the good work, and keep the updates coming!

Never had an issue with this app. Very easy to use.

Im extremely new to using LaTeX as a document editor. I had heard many good things about LaTeX for a long time but never was able to get around to getting it running on my home computers. As a university student I was always on the go and so I began looking for an iOS variation that would suit my needs. TeX Writer was the only app that offered in app compiling. Im still learning the ropes with LaTeX, but with TeX Writer it wont be hard or take long! Great App! Its not perfect, there seems to still be some functionality issues when using a keyboard, but the developer *seems* to be involved. Time will tell. Id really like to see this get updated more frequently!

Compiling offline, seamless synching with Dropbox allowing me to continue to work on documents I started on my desktop, possibility to add new packages, transparent display of the compile logs makes it easy to debug. Great job! The price? Well, some people think that any app over $0.99 on iOS is expensive. On the other hand, few people care about paying $5-7 for a lunch, a one off. Question: How much is the convenience of this app worth to you? How much is your time worth? If you are a TeX user, this app is a must have.

The embedded TeX/LaTeX implementation that generates PDF files right on the iPad is just brilliant. Integration with DropBox makes it easy to swap from iPad to computer and back. The editor itself is pretty OK, though I prefer Textastic if I have a lot of editing to do.

Love it! Works great. With my Bluetooth keyboard, I can really tex on my ipad.

I bought this app as it said it can link to Dropbox, however every time I do it it simply crashed. I tried to get a refund right away, NO they didnt allow you to get anything back, its simply a set-up. Dont make the mistake I made, dont give a chance to cheaters.

I have found this to be a very useful application. My LaTeX needs are modest but are completely met by this app. Dropbox synchronization works well for me.

This is a nice app. I compared the app with Texpad. Each has some advantages over another, but I think this app is better because it takes shorter time to compile tex files on this and PDF viewer retain the page I read before. These two advantages are important when I want to check how document is seen so frequently. I want to write Japanese documents. If possible, please improve this app!

iPad に入れて使い始めました．手元にあった英文論文，Beamerで作成した60ページ程度の英文のスライドはほぼ問題なく処理できました．処理速度も期待どおりでした．日本語についてはサポートサイトのテンプレートを使うと妙なフォントながら，一応は処理できました． YutakaMotoseさんのレビューを参考にして，bxjsarticle のフォント指定を少し変更したら，問題なく処理できることがわかりました．調子にのって，Beamerでusepackage {bxcjkjatype}したらやはりうまくいきそうです．Bluetoothキーボードを利用すると快適に作業ができます． YutakaMotoseさんは bxcjkjatype のフォント設定を書き換える方法を提案してらっしゃいますが、書き換えずに同様のフォント設定を自分の .tex ファイルの中で施しても大丈夫そうです。

Good enough for editing even moderately longTEX files but still too limited editor for real original work. Definitely needs to be able to work with iCloudDrive and not just Dropbox.

Please add jarticle version.Many Japanese need this.

Now I can work on my papers anywhere, at the cost of just 300 additional grams in my bag. Simply amazing.

Now I can write my thesis any time I want to, either from my iPad or iPhone. GUI is very friendly, keyboard got some additional keys - which is very useful, syncing with Dropbox makes sure that I always start working when I previously finished. Worth every penny.
